"The Bengali Book of English Verse" is a collection of historical poems, representing about one hundred years of poetical effort. It has its origin in England's introduction of Western education into India. This book was written by various authors and was selected and arranged by Theodore Douglas Dunn, a Scottish oriental scholar and an anthologist of Indian poetry in English.
